A young lawyer, David, was carrying out a money laundering mission for a Chinatown gangster leader. On his latest assignment carrying a large sum of money to Hong Kong, he was robbed and his assistand murdered. David sought hel from his law school buddy, Houston, without knowing that Houston was one setting up teh robbery. To cover up his illegal activities, Houston had to eliminate his law firm partner, Jackie. She was assaulted by Houston's mistress before she could unveil the truth to police inspector Yeung. Tracy, a promising solicitor working for Houston, found herself a scapegoat for the crime committed by her boss. She was framed to be the supspect of Jackie's homicide. To complete the plot Houston dispatched gunmen to go after Tracy's life. She was saved by one of her unwelcome client, Donny. They had to team up together in fighting against Houston and running away from the police. The odd couple developed a memorable friendship as they went through the repeated threat against their lives.
